Ingredients

1 cup pumpkin purée

½ cup melted butter or oil

¾ cup brown sugar

2 eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1½ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp baking soda

½ tsp cinnamon

¼ tsp nutmeg

¼ tsp salt

1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment.

Whisk pumpkin, butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt. Fold gently.

Stir in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.

Spread batter into pan and top with extra chips.

Bake 22–28 minutes or until the center is just set.

Cool fully before slicing into bars.

For extra softness, add 2 tbsp yogurt.
