Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée

  • ½ cup melted butter or oil

  • ¾ cup brown sugar

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp baking powder

  • ½ tsp baking soda

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp nutmeg

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Line an 8×8 baking pan with parchment.

  • Whisk pumpkin, butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.

  • Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt. Fold gently.

  • Stir in chocolate chips, reserving some for topping.

  • Spread batter into pan and top with extra chips.

  • Bake 22–28 minutes or until the center is just set.

  • Cool fully before slicing into bars.

Notes

  • For extra softness, add 2 tbsp yogurt.

  • Don’t overbake — bars continue to set as they cool.

  • Add nuts or white chocolate for variations.

  • Store airtight up to 4 days.
