  2. Add 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese3/4 cup real bacon bits4 green onions, thinly sliced and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Whip until combined.
  3. Serve immediately or chill before serving with crackers or chips.

Notes

  • Make-Ahead Tip: Prepare the dip at least 1 hour in advance to allow the flavors to meld. It can be stored in the fridge for up to 3–4 days.

  • Serving Suggestions: Pairs well with Ritz crackers, pretzels, baguette slices, or fresh veggies like celery and bell pepper strips.

  • Cheese Tip: Use freshly shredded cheddar for a smoother texture. Pre-shredded cheese can make the dip gritty.

  • Customize It: Add jalapeños for spice, swap in ranch seasoning for extra flavor, or omit bacon for a vegetarian version.

  • Storage: Keep refrigerated in an airtight container. Freezing is not recommended, as it may alter the dip’s texture.
