Ingredients

Scale

For the Dough:

  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar

For the Filling:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

For the Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a round baking dish.
  • Mix Bisquick, milk, and sugar to form a soft dough.
  • Roll the dough into a rectangle, spread with softened butter, and sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon.
  • Roll tightly into a log, slice into 8-10 pieces, and place in the prepared dish.
  • Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
  • Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla to make the glaze. Drizzle over warm rolls and serve.

Notes

1. No Yeast, No Waiting

Unlike traditional cinnamon rolls, these use baking powder instead of yeast, so there’s no need for rising time—just mix, roll, and bake!

2. Customize the Filling & Glaze

  • Add nuts, raisins, or chocolate chips to the filling for extra texture.
  • Swap the glaze for cream cheese frosting for a richer topping.
  • Drizzle with caramel or maple syrup for a fall-inspired twist.

3. Don’t Over-Knead the Dough

The dough should be soft and slightly sticky—kneading too much will make the rolls dense and tough.

4. Bake Just Until Golden Brown

Overbaking can dry out the rolls. Check for golden edges and remove them from the oven once they’re firm but still soft in the center.

5. Store & Reheat for Freshness

  • Store in an airtight container for up to 2 days at room temperature or 5 days in the fridge.
  • Reheat in the microwave for 15-20 seconds or in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes to keep them soft.
