Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g lean beef mince

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 4 large tortilla wraps

  • 4 slices cheddar cheese

  • 100g grated mozzarella cheese (optional)

  • 2 cups shredded iceberg lettuce

  • 1 small red onion, thinly sliced

  • 4–5 pickle slices per wrap

  • 4 tbsp burger sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Optional Homemade Burger Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp mayonnaise

  • 1 tbsp ketchup

  • 1 tsp yellow mustard

  • Pinch of smoked paprika

Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:
In a frying pan over medium heat, cook the beef mince. Break it apart with a wooden spoon and season with salt and pepper. Cook for 7–8 minutes or until browned. Set aside.

  • Assemble the Wraps:
Lay a tortilla flat. Add 1 slice of cheddar cheese in the center, then spoon on the cooked beef. Sprinkle mozzarella (if using), add lettuce, onion slices, and pickle slices. Drizzle with about 1 tbsp burger sauce.

  • Fold the Wraps:
Fold in the sides of the tortilla, then roll tightly into a wrap.

  • Toast the Wraps:
Heat a clean skillet over medium heat. Toast wraps seam-side down for 1–2 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.

  • Slice and Serve:
Remove from pan, slice each wrap in half, and serve warm.

Notes

  • Meal Prep Tip: You can cook the beef and prep toppings ahead of time. Store separately and assemble fresh.

  • Variations: Add jalapeños, tomatoes, or swap cheddar for American cheese. You can also use ground turkey or plant-based mince.

  • For a crispier wrap: Lightly butter the outside or sprinkle sesame seeds on the tortilla before toasting.

  • Make it lighter: Use low-fat cheese and lean ground meat or a plant-based option.
